Ives was born on March 6, 1940, and grew up in New England, California, and the Midwest. A reclusive and seldom seen author best known for his 1970 novel Monster Cottage Kill, Ives remains a shadowy figure on the fringes of literature. Little is known about his present whereabouts or whether he is still actively writing, although rumors abound.
