Sometimes people just vanish -- poof! -- with no explanation. Maybe you said something, or did something, that you didn't know you said or did. Or maybe they just got whatever it was they needed and didn't need any more. Tonight I went to a groovy little tapas restaurant with Miss H and we split this soft-shelled crab. It was okay. A little "crabby." It was good. But if you offered me more, I wouldn't take it. Maybe you can be like that to some people -- good, but no more, thanks. And then they fly away and don't look back.

There's another way to look at it, the one I use (being the optimist I am). People come into your life for learning -- you learn from them, they learn from you. Often you don't know what you learned for years. Everyone has a lot to learn, and we spend different amounts of time trying to learn whatever we are learning. Sometimes you learn what you needed, or taught what you needed, and you're done and can go. Other times, you gotta run to the next lesson. And sometimes you just aren't learning or teaching what you need to, so you might as well move on. Nothing bad, nothing judgemental, just using the time you've got trying to get your life lessons learned.
I think that because otherwise all the people who've come and gone in my life would really piss me off.

I happen to look at things the same way as Sherri. But it doesn't change the fact that when people just disappear it still hurts like a freaking mother. Plus, there are a few people I would like to hit over the head with a 2x4 for the lessons they taught me. My karma. She's always in danger.

I'm sorry to see it go, but totally understand. In the past few months I've been thinking of closing down groovebunny and starting fresh. Thank you for giving me a chance to read your words here B.
